Travelling this beautiful planet of ours has by far had the biggest positive impact on my mental health. In a way I feel like my life began on March 15th 2015 when I boarded my first flight as a solo backpacker, despite the fact I was almost 21-years-old.

I’ve been writing all my life, keeping diaries to document how I was feeling and that sort of thing. However, my 2015 round the world trip was the first time I shared my writing with the world aka my social media following.

I kept writing and sharing my travels on my former travel blog until 2017. I then took a 12 month break from it before launching Life of Mind. To keep publishing stories of my travels as and when they happened seemed like a no brainer.

Although it isn’t the soul purpose of this new blog, they still play such a vital role in my mental wellbeing.

So, whether it be adventure travel, European city breaks or once in a lifetime visits to the wonders of this world. If and when it happens, I’ll blog about it here.

South America throwback: Four years since Bolivia

After ten days in Peru and one incredible trip to Machu Picchu I set off for Bolivia. I was feeling hopeful, and after surviving a dodgy landing from Peruvian Airlines I was feeling lucky. Sitting at an altitude of 3640m,
